Online consultations with Polish speech therapist for children from abroad (e.g. UK, USA)

Dear Parent, if you live far away from any Polish speech therapist, for example abroad in UK, USA, Canada, Australia or elsewhere, you may be interested in online consultations conducted interactively with your child over the Internet.

Who are the online consultations with a Polish speech therapist for?

• Polish-speaking children or multilingual children for whom Polish is one of the spoken languages:

  • with delayed speech development,

  • with Asperger's syndrome or Down's syndrome,

  • with a speech impediment in Polish,

  • wanting to preserve Polish language better,

• for children with speech impediments who have limited access to Polish-speaking speech therapists,

• for parents of children with speech impediments whose work or other responsibilities do not allow enough time for traditional therapy at speech therapist's office.

How does the online speech therapy over the Internet work?

The online speech therapy over the Internet can be conducted with the use of one of the most popular and free online communicators Skype. Therefore you will need the following:

• computer (PC or laptop) with Internet access and Skype installed on it,

• microphone and speakers or headphones,

• Webcam.

You can also record your child with a video camera and email me the video recording. If the video quality is good enough I will be able to assess your child’s speech impediment and give you advice on corrective exercises relevant to your child’s problem.

How much does the online speech therapy over the Internet cost?

Not much! It will depend on the intensity of exercises, type of child’s speech impediment and how often we will "meet" in the virtual world of the Internet.
